Pao (2013) is an 11-year-old boy who lives with his mother (1976), blind grandmother (1956) and disabled aunt (1981) in Mukdahan, in the poor and dry northeastern Thailand. Pao's teacher once came to her student's home because she was worried and was shocked by the home situation. This is Pao's story.
Pao's father disappeared when he was only a few months old, leaving mother to take care of her child by herself. But she herself has physical problems and a low IQ. Just like her younger sister, who is tied to a rope and cannot speak. Pao's grandmother lost her eyes 10 years ago due to diabetes. Hence, there is no healthy and stable family member who can take care of the young Pao. There is little or no money and he has to arrange many practical matters himself, as his mother is often absent. The family is struggling to make ends meet and the situation is not exactly safe and stable for an 11 year old.
Football
Pao can only go to school with the help of Siam-Care. He tries hard at school but is developing slower than average. He is currently in grade 4 of primary school and he likes to play with his friends after school.
