Valentine's Day is a day to celebrate love, even in Thailand. This year, however, we transformed February 14th into something deeper: a day of education, empowerment, and prevention. Together with the Mukdahan Provincial Health Department and the Social Services Department, our team provided essential sex education and HIV prevention to high school students throughout the region. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are a non-profit organization dedicated to helping children and families affected by HIV\/AIDS in Thailand. We strive for a holistic approach: we help children stay in school and offer medical, financial, and spiritual support to vulnerable families. We also strive to stop the virus by providing training and education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

HIV\/AIDS remains a problem in Thailand, where stigma and misinformation still contribute to new infections, especially among young people. Education about safe sex, HIV prevention, and reducing stigma is crucial to stopping the spread of the virus \u2013 because awareness is prevention.

A Valentine's Day campaign with a purpose<\/strong>
This Valentine's Day, we brought our mission directly into the classroom. In collaboration with local health authorities and the social services office in Mukdahan, our team visited several high schools to have open and honest conversations with teenagers about sex. We combined factual information about HIV\u2014including how it's transmitted and how to protect yourself\u2014with discussions about healthy relationships and respect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Students were encouraged to think critically about choices that affect their health and future, and were given practical tools and knowledge to reduce their risk of infection. We also shared where they can find support, testing, and further guidance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Moving forward together<\/strong>
Through ongoing efforts like these, supported by local partners and dedicated donors like you, we strive to reduce new infections, combat stigma, and ensure that every child and family affected by HIV\/AIDS has access to the information, care, and community support they deserve.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
